Welcome to Hylands House – a small residential care home for the elderly in the heart of Stratford-upon-Avon. Because the needs of our residents have changed over the years, we became registered for dementia care in 2008 and have a great deal of experience and understanding of the condition.
Many people would frankly prefer to stay in their own home, but circumstances sometimes mean that it is not the best option, so we try to make Hylands House as homely as possible. The original building was in fact a family home, although of course it has been extended and adapted to provide for the needs of 19 residents.
Hylands House is warm and welcoming. Residents, relatives, directors, staff and friends are considered part of a large extended family. Relatives of residents who have passed away are often still involved in social occasions.
